Hola a todos esta vez me tomo un tiempo para explicar como desarrollo una portada ya que esta aprobada en los prebocetos y platicas anteriores.
1.-Ya cuando se ha aprobado el boceto lo que me pongo a diferenciar son los valores tonales o de alto contraste de la pagina en terminos visuales y como el lector los va a recibir en su cabeza.
2.-Se decide de que manera va a manejarse la portada en este caso como es un tipo poster se manejo el lado horizontal.
MI intención era manejar al Dr. Wagner Jr. sobre todo con el concepto "Como disfruta la lucha y el barullo que provoca, y la imagen de el rompiendo una mascara"
Hey guys, I am taking my time to explain the developtment on working a Cover, after I received the approval based on the pre/design and previous talks.
1.-As soon as the sketch is approved, I take my time to check the tonal values, high contrast and terms of Harmony in the page in terms of visual elements and the way the reader will perceive the art.
2.-It is decided how to attack the Cover and i this case as knowing it is a Pin Up I decided to use the horizontal side.
My intention is to handle Dr. Wagner Jr over this concept THE WAY HE ENJOYS WRESTLING AND ALL THE BIG FUSS MADE BY HIM WHILE TEARING APART A MASK.
3.-En esta parte muestro que ha veces todo lo tengo friamente calculado y a veces no, como en este caso ya sabia como tenía que establecer al personaje principal aka Dr. Wagner Jr. pero en este caso no tenia idea de que poner en la parte de atras, cuando estuve pensando en la parte emblematica de él recorde el diseño de su mascara y pues decidí utilizar la parte derecha para poner el diseño o una reminiscencia y dejar que el trabajo de color balanceara la parte izquierda del proyecto.
4.-si se dan cuenta en este caso lleve a la par el trazo a lápiz y el entintado, sobre todo para ahorrar tiempos, normalmente trazo el dibujo a lápiz y después entinto, bueno la verdad a veces depende mucho el proceso de entintado, a veces cambio ritmos para divertirme.
5.-En este caso se diseño pensando en que me lo iban a colorear digitalmente, si lo hubiera coloreado o pintado yo, el proceso seria muy parecido pero tendria que hacer mi estudio de colores y ver cuales son los que combinaban, en este caso Raul Manriquez aka Raulman me hizo el favor de colorearlo.
3.-In this step I show that at times I really know the design from scratch and at times I have no clue on how to solve it, in this case I wanted to stablished Dr. Wagner Jr in front but I was clueless about the background, for the background I decided to use a reminiscence of his emblematic eagle in the right side of the art and let the color work over the left side.
4.-If you can notice, I was penciling and inking at the same time to save timing, I normally have the tight pencil work and then I ink, all the inking process dependes on the process and at times I use a different approach to change rythms...and have fun!
5.-I knew from the beginning this will be colored digitally by someone else, If I had colored it by myself I would have gotten into the proper palette of colors, in this case Raul Manriquez was the colorist.
6.-Este es el entintado final y todavia checo por última vez si hay alguna cosa que tuviera que añadir o cambiar en esta etapa a veces consulto por si necesitan aprobar algo en terminos del diseño.
6.-This is the final take and the inking, I normally check for a last time If I have to add something else or change it, so I ask for the approval in terms of design when I am working for someboy else.
7.-Por último el color y en este caso se le dio libertad total al colorista y este fue el resultado!

Me dicen mis fuentes que ya esperan que en 15 dias o 3 semanas ya este el Nuevo Super Luchas Grafico que contiene este poster!!!
