Bad News in a way.

Some years ago, I bumped into one of the best writers and friend and boss I have ever had.
Nik Havert is one of a kind, a true friend and a person who made me co-create Rocket Girl.
He has been over the years so understading to what it was on that time over my life and We were trying to start issue number 3 as it was our idea, We decided that instead of procrastinating any longer the next issues of Rocket Girl it was better for me and for him to take myself from the interior penciled art, so from now on I will become only the Cover Artist of Rocket Girl.
Really hard for me to take myself away from designing the interiors but I guess it is the best movement for now, My agenda is a bit busy and hard to follow, I mean I want to see more issues of Rocket Girl done and keep with Nik the dream to keep the stories of Polly Harris aka Rocket Girl on track.
So this is more or less my intention, from what He told me He is planning to reprint issue number 1 and issue number two again with TWO NEW COVERS done by truly yours.
I will also work in the pinup work and the COVER OF ISSUE THREE and the upcoming issues from RG.
So I guess over the following weeks and months before ending the year to give you some good surprises in Cover Art terms with Rocket.
We still have some projects hopefully We will find a way to make them real over the years.
I hope not to be over with the interior work of Rocket Girl I will force my amigo Nik to write me down some short stories so I can keep drawing her.
About the color work I will keep my word on something I promise and in case that person can not continue I have already the solution.

Esto es algo que me da mucho orgullo ser parte, un buen amigo de la carrera de arquitectura esta involucrandome en un projectote arquitectonico y pues me contrato para darle es aspecto o look al proyecto y como lucen ciertos espacios de este proyecto y estoy a cargo de las perspectivas y diseno de espacios (lastima que no puede decir mucho por ahora) pero ya salio el primer espectacular en mi tierra anunciando el proyecto, asi que pues tambien agradecer a Victor Daniel aka Monoguru el que este conmigo en esta onda en en trabajo de color, asi que mil gracias Mono por el equipo de trabajo.

ps..recuerda que no podemos mostrar nada amigo por ahora hasta que se mueva el proyecto pero bueno esto minimo nos sirve para ver que el trabajo hecho esta germinando.

This is something I am really happy and proud, I have a good friend of mine architect who is involved in a big project (sorry I can not say anything further for now), so He hired me to work in the visual architectonical aspect of the project, I polished and design parts and work in the perspective.
Well it seems that now in my town the project is getting the word out and this is the first spectacular advertisement showing my work and the work of Victor Daniel aka Monoguru.

Hello Guys!
I'm sure some of you may have heard of the devastating floods that happened here in the Philippines, specially Manila and surrounding areas. A lot of comics guys, old guys and younger guys, lost their homes/properties or at least had them really badly damaged.
Colorist Jay David Ramos and veteran Rico Rival got their homes completely submerged in the flood waters and lost everything. Other guys affected include Steve Gan, Noly Zamora, Jun Lofamia, Danny Acuña (some of whom may be familiar to you guys as artists who worked on DC's war and horror stuff in the 70's.).
Other artists of the younger generation affected include Gilbert Monsanto, Carlo Vergara, Joanah and Melvin Calingo, and these are the people we've heard of. Many people are still incommunicado due to downed phone and power lines.
With another typhoon coming in shortly, things are not looking promising as many places are still flooded.
Anyway, we're holding an auction to benefit these guys, to help them get back on their feet. As of now, two items are up, with more items to be added soon. Some of you guys might be interested in the original art here, or you might know someone who might be interested.
It would be much appreciated!

Long time without giving a silent movie recommendation.

Ben Hur. The Tale of the Christ done in 1925 and directed by Fred Niblo, beautiful in many aspects, one of the first long long long movies done in that period more than 2 hours maybe one of the surprises from that time is to have Ramon Novaro in the lead part (One of the first mexican actors to be recognized, probably him and Dolores del Rio being big stars in both markets spanish and english).The spotlight scenes are in technicolor.

A must to watch!

Tanghetto es una de esas bandas que deben de ser escuchadas especialmente si te gusta el baile o te gusta estos tonos tipo ambience, ellos sin duda junto con Gotan Project y Supervielle son los reyes de este genero.Todavia quiero escuchar mas de Bajo Fondo Tango Club para darme una mejor idea pero lo que he escuchado con Adriana Varela y Cerati es increible.

Tanghetto is one of those bands that it is a real must to listen in your life, specially if you like dancing or this kind of ambience genre, definitely Tanghetto, Gotan Project and Supervielle of Santaolalla are the kings of this this kind of music.
Also a recommendation is Bajo Fondo Tango Club.

I really like Punjabi music, if you have Mcs and singers to recommend let me know, the only place I am used to listening Punjabi music is a radio show from BBC. Nihal and Bobby Friction made my Tuesdays fun days!
Sadly Bobby Friction is not longer in that program. I got to say that I am not that fond of Punjabi music sang in English, some remixes are incredible but this music is better in the original language.

¿Qué SÍ es la MiniCon Comikaze?
Es un experimento comiquero, de entrada libre. Así de simple.

En la primera edición de la MiniCon Comikaze, a realizarse el domingo 4 de OCTUBRE en Grela Café (Caleta # 554, Colonia Narvarte, entre Vértiz y Zempoala), de 10:00 a 18:00 horas, podrás conocer una interesante variedad de cómic mexicano, conseguir aquel cómic del Capitán América que tanto estabas buscando, comprarte un poster, una novela gráfica, una figura de colección, platicar con uno de los artistas invitados, etcétera.
O simplemente, puedes sentarte a comer con tus amigos y tomarte un refresco mientras participas de forma activa en cualquiera de las tres interesantes charlas que se impartirán.
El objetivo es convivir y conocer.
Organizada por la revista Comikaze, Ediciones Uno de Tres y BadaBing Comics, la MiniCon tiene como objetivo ser un espacio de encuentro para todo aquel lector de historietas, con gusto por la ciencia ficción y la fantasía, que quiera pasar un rato agradable en compañía de gente afín, en un ambiente de camaradería, buena vibra y altas concentraciones de frikismo.
Para los expositores participantes (creadores de cómic, tiendas y editoriales), la MiniCon busca ser un espacio para interactuar directamente con un posible lector, un seguidor asiduo o un cliente de negocios potencial, sin tener que soportar malos tratos de los organizadores, el estruendo de una bocina en el stand de al lado, una pésima ubicación en el evento o en el peor de los casos, un hombre vestido de Sailor Moon, tapando nuestra mesa de venta.

LOS INVITADOS

Entre los participantes confirmados se encuentran Giobany Arévalo, editor en jefe de Marvel México (Televisa); Jorge Pinto, creador del webcomic Bunsen; Mauricio Matamoros, autor del libro Alan Moore y su obra: Realidades construidas; Augusto Mora, dibujante de la revista MAD México, autor de la tira cómica Muerte Querida y del webcomic El Maizo; Fausto Ponce, conductor del podcast Permanencia Voluntaria, Raúl Valdés, co-creador de los webcomics Living with Shine! y Black Rain; y Adrián Ramos (Adis), autor del webcomic Count your sheep y actual contendiente de Zuda Comics con My T-Shirt Fairy Tale, entre otros participantes.
Además de las conferencias, habrá sesiones de firmas y sketches con diversos creadores de cómic nacional, con quienes tendrás oportunidad de intercambiar opiniones y recibir consejos. En los próximos días se dará a conocer la programación completa.

Soy autor de cómic, tengo una editorial o un negocio y estoy interesado en participar. ¿Cómo le hago?
La entrada del público a la primera edición de este encuentro será gratuita, pues como organizadores, estamos interesados en que el gasto que un asistente pueda realizar esté encaminado a cualquiera de las ofertas presentadas.
En este experimento se utilizará una gran mesa única de venta, donde todos los proyectos editoriales compartirán un mismo espacio. Esto permitirá a los autores disfrutar de las conferencias, charlar con sus colegas y lectores, así como participar en las mesas de autógrafos.
La venta del material gráfico será administrada directamente por el equipo organizador en una caja única. Las ganancias y el material que no se haya vendido durante la jornada será entregadas al finalizar el encuentro, en el mismo lugar.
No se permitirá la venta de material que no haya sido registrado previamente. Por ello cada participante deberá entregar un listado detallado de la mercancía a exhibir, pues esto será vital para un eficiente control de ventas.
No se cobrará cantidad alguna de forma anticipada por participar en la mesa de venta. Sin embargo, el 20 por ciento de las ventas de cada proyecto participante será destinado a la recuperación de los gastos de organización.

BODOQUE CIERRE TERCERA TEMPORADA

Con esta imagen cierro por TERCERA vez mi ciclo de Bodoques, creo que nunca lo habia sacado al publico porque en aquella ocasion habia pedido unos cambios en el color, el tiempo paso y quedo ahi olvidado.

Pero tambien me ayuda esta imagen mucho para agradecerle al buen Kumiker su tiempo para la segunda temporada de BODOQUES, espero que si me vuelve a entrar ese fuego interno de decir algo pues hacerlo ya sea con Kumiker si es posible.
