Waiting for...

Yesterday I went to the last reunion before getting the prototypes of the series of T shirts that Elo, Hugo and I are going to start selling in several places in the country and overseas If you want to order.
So I made some stickers with some of the images so I was just cutting and sticking them on my portafolios, a nice way to spend or waste time while waiting.

Yesterday morning!!

I was saving some money to give myself something as my birhtday present next Feb 12th and I received the package before expected. I got some pieces from the amazing toy artist Daniel Gonzalez.
He was so kind to put one of my images on the packaging so well.... today was really cool!!

For me without doubt Ismael Alvarez is one of my favorite illustrators from Spain, He has an incredible wise way and acid sense of humor on his work that is really delightful!

En el número 299 de SuperLuchas que salió hoy me encontre con la enorme sorpresa de ver el articulo del Santo de mi Devoción como lo había platicado antes pero no sabia que la pieza que hice iba en el mismo articulo.

Caray un dia peculiar hoy el increible artista del Tebeo Pepo Perez ha decidido cerrar su blog, que es sin duda en mi opinion uno de los mejores que han existido sobre Comics..

Solo puedo desearle MUCHA SUERTE ahora que se dedicara a hacer puro tebeo y como dice el ojala sea un hasta luego!!!

I was in my second year of Architecture and I can say that this is probably one of the songs that was part of my inner life playlist ever.
I was about 8 years trying to remember the name of the band and the song and finally Toon help me out (thanks buddie). I still dunno why I haven't heard more of White Town if you can tell me what happen with that Band. The director of both videos from White Town is Mark Adcock.
Check the music, I mean to be in 1996 or 1997 and have this distinctive sound, man They were ahead in many ways.

Now is the turn from the Son of the Legend El Santo.
He is writing for Record The Newspaper and writes about the Exposition!!

Ahora toca el turno al hijo de la Leyenda El Santo.
Tiene una seccion en Record el Periodico de Deportes y habla de los eventos por el Aniversario de su padre y habla de la Exposicion El Santo de mi Devocion!!

El Santo de mi Devocion. INVITACION FORMAL

Amigos artistas y seguidores de la lucha libre, los esperamos el sábado 7 de febrero, a las 12:00 horas en Buzón de Arte (Callejón de Romita #8, Colonia Roma), a espaldas del Centro Cultural Telmex y a unas tres cuadras del Metro Cuauhtémoc de la ciudad de México.
Contaremos con la presencia de El Hijo del Santo (www.elhijodelsanto.com.mx) para inaugurar este modesto esfuerzo de reunir a medio centenar de los mejores dibujantes de cómics de México. Además, ese día contaremos con un par de pláticas sobre el paso del El Santo por el mundo del cine y las historietas, en las cuales colaborarán varios estudiosos del tema (los horarios y participantes se confirmarán en los días previos a la exposición).
Además, los asistentes podrán conocer el más reciente número de Comikaze (www.revista-comikaze.blogspot.com) publicación sobre historieta que dedica su tema central al mito del Enmascarado de Plata, así como contará con dos portadas en homenaje a este gran luchador.
¡Los esperamos en la exposición!

Yeaph today is the first Lucha of the Year and are Mil Mascaras, Canek, Dos Caras and the amazing humble wrestler Villano III.
Sadly I couldn´t include Villano III in this image because it was required like that!

The piece will be used for something today that is the Anniversary of The Arena and for the Exposition that Rosalba is organizing (info in the poster below)
